You also have the option of donating to the charity of your choice.   Most people won't make a referral unless they really want to and money is usually not their motivation.  But never assume that a charitable organization doesn't need even a small amount, because small amounts over a period time, or from just one neighborhood, can amount to a lot!  We recommend giving to a cause the you really believe in.  But by all means, if you need the cash, keep it!
